First Day, Great Day

We finally got in to Phnom Penh and ate lunch at one of our favorite places. Khmer Tai It was very refreshing, its a restaurant where you set on these pillows that you lean back on. We ate and had a great time of fellowship with Pastor Jesse. When we arrived, we had several friends waiting on us. Pastor Meng Hong From Kampong Cham, who is the pastor and leader of one of the Hope centers we built. He’s a great man. I cant wait to see the children that live there. We are literally watching them grow up healthy and whole year to year, right before our eyes.

When He saw us he said to me, Pastor David I miss you so much. I had to meet you at the airport. This may not seem like a big deal, but we are going to his place tomorrow, and will be there for two days, he could have just waited for us to get there, but he is such a good friend, he drove 3 hrs just to greet us at the airport. I can’t wait to work and minister along side him for the next two days.

This afternoon the team went and toured all the ministry’s of New Life Fellowship of Churches. Jesse and Soar McCaul’s church. Taylor said to me, “Dad this is a church. They are impacting their nation.” While they were doing that Pastor Travis from Faith Christian Outreach in Shawnee, a very good friend of mine who brought two great men from his church to partner with us on this trip. Love these guys, Went with Pastor Jesse to see a building they are thinking about putting a fourth service in at the end of this month. This will be the beginning of their Once church multiple campuses model.

It was very exciting watching him and his team talk about all the details. It is funny how they were talking about some of the very things we talk about at home. God is doing great things in Cambodia, I am just glad I get to be a part of it!

Tomorrow we leave for the province. Kampong Cham, to visit our first Hope. We will be doing some labor, and a great day of teaching, training, and developing the orphans. Then a huge party for them, where we get the several pairs of new clothes for them, new shoes, school supplies and other things they need to start the new school year. It is a great party and great provision for these kids who would otherwise not get it. It is one of the highlights of my year. Thank you for helping make this happen.

Keep looking here and my facebook for new dates.

Thanks
David
